Cultivating a Culture of Invitation #spreadtheWORD: We are very excited to welcome Michael Harvey back to our diocese next week. While here visiting parishes Michael will hold two public sessions at St. John the Evangelist, Edmonton. He will chat with youth about the Power of Invitation on Friday, April 29 and on Saturday, April 30 hold a workshop on Creating a Culture of Invitation. Michael’s humorous approach to evangelism is as entertaining as it is informative. Not only will you gain insight, you will have a great time. The Anglican Educational Chaplaincy: We are a mission of the Diocese of Edmonton, helping Christ be seen more clearly in libraries and lecture halls and students' daily lives. Our annual silent auction and dinner at the U of A Faculty Club happens this year on Tuesday, May 3rd, beginning at 5:30 pm. This event provides a major part of the funding that makes this ministry possible year after year. Tickets are $75 per person and can be reserved at , or by contacting the Rev. The youth will be hosting a Mother's Day BBQ on May 8th in order to raise money to attend this year's annual YC Conference from May 27-29. With a minimum donation of $5 per person or $15 per family of 4 you will receive a burger or hotdog, chips, juice and dessert. Please come out and support this ministry to send the youth of our parish to YC Alberta.

We’re delighted to announce that our friend Rob Heath will be returning to St. Margaret’s to join Tim for a benefit concert for our World Vision ‘Raw Hope’ appeal. We will be holding our customary spring BBQ at the home of Lorne and Beryl Rice (near Nisku) on Saturday 18th starting mid-afternoon and running into the evening. Food, games, fun and fellowship. Bring your own food and drink to share with all. Directions and maps will be forthcoming closer to the event.
