Faith, Fun and Fellowship: January to March schedule

‘FAITH, FUN, AND FELLOWSHIP’
Tuesday night variety at St. Margaret’s
Upcoming Events:

January 19th: ‘Free For All’ 7.30 – 9.00 p.m.
Do you have a question about faith that you’d like to discuss? Bring it with you. We’ll list the questions, pick the first two or three to cover, and hold the others for next month.

January 26th: ‘The Sacraments’ 7.30 – 9.00 p.m.
Bring your questions about the meaning and practice of Baptism, Holy Communion and other ‘sacramental acts’ like anointing the sick, confession etc.

February 2nd: Pot Luck Supper 6.00 – 8.00 p.m.
Just what the label says: come, share a meal and enjoy the company of your fellow Christians.

February 9th: Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper 5.00 – 7.00 p.m.
We will have two sittings – 5.00 and 6.00 – and a suggested donation of $5 per person to cover the cost of the supplies. Any moneys received in addition to this will go to our World Vision appeal for the ‘Raw Hope’ project.

February 16th: ‘Free For All’ 7.30 – 9.00 p.m.
Continuing from last month, with room for new questions too!

February 23rd: ‘Faith at Work’ 7.30 – 9.00 p.m.
What does it mean to live as a follower of Jesus when I go to work? What tensions do I experience between my work and my faith? What opportunities do I see to serve God there? How can I live more consistently as a Christian in my place of work? And why is this important?

March 1st: Pot Luck Supper 6.00 – 8.00 p.m.
Just what the label says: come, share a meal and enjoy the company of your fellow Christians.

March 8th: ‘Christian Grandparenting’ 7.30 – 9.00 p.m.
What are the joys and challenges of being Christian grandparents? How can we be a means of blessing in the lives of our grandchildren? What about situations when our kids don’t have faith but our grandkids do? Come and join in a general discussion about grandparenting in the context of Christian faith.

March 15th: ‘Free for All’ 7.30 – 9.00 p.m.
Continuing from last month, with room for new questions too!

March 22nd: ‘Hymns and Songs’ 7.30 – 9.00 p.m.
We’ll break out the hymn books and song books, have a good old fashioned singalong, and maybe learn a few new songs too. Feel free to bring any favourites you’d like to share with everyone. Coffee and tea will be provided, but if you want to bring ‘additional beverages’ to help lubricate the vocal cords, feel free to do so!

March 29th: Taking a break for Easter week.

All events held at the church.
