Note: The church is rented out every Monday 3.45 – 7.45 p.m., and every Saturday except the first Saturday of the month 7 – 10 p.m.

January 10th 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. ‘How to Help New Disciples Grow’ @ church.
How to model and pass on some of the basic Christian disciplines such as prayer, Bible reading, community, ministry, worship and stewardship. Leader: The Rev. Tim Chesterton. Note – this is a diocesan workshop; please register by emailing Jen ( or calling her at 780-437-7231. Please bring a bag lunch.

January 11th: Lunch at the Inner City Pastoral Ministry (Bissell Centre)
St. Margaret’s in partnership with St. Mary’s Anglican Church will be providing and serving lunch at the Bissell Centre. We normally serve about 300 people. A sign up sheet is at the back of the church for those wishing to help out. We require:
·      Desserts – finger desserts such as squares or cookies.
·   Prepared raw vegetables – carrots, celery, cucumbers, cauliflower, peppers or cherry tomatoes. (please do not include dips.)
·      Fruit – bananas, apples, oranges, melon or grapes
Please indicate the amount of food you will be providing. If you prefer to make a donation please enclose it in your Sunday offering and mark it ICPM. The last few years our expenses have exceeded our donations. We will purchase all the sandwich ingredients as well as pickles, coffee, sugar, juice crystals, paper products, etc.

On Saturday January 10th, 2015 we will be making the sandwiches (10:30 am) and will required 10 people. Sandwich making will be at the Woytkiw residence since the church basement is unavailable that day. Maps with directions will be available at the table in the church foyer. If you have extra plastic grocery bags could you leave them in the church kitchen. We require about 100 to send out extra sandwiches to the homeless.

On Sunday January 11th, 2015 we require 10 people at the Bissell Center to prepare, serve lunch and clean up (9:00 am – 1:30 pm). The Bissell Center is located at 10503 96th Street. There is rear parking at the back.

January 9th – 10th: Bishop's Youth Extravaganza (Fri. 7 p.m. – Sat. 4 p.m.)
The first-ever Bishop's Youth Extravaganza: ‘What's Next?’ will be held January 9-10 at Good Shepherd, 15495 Castledowns Road, Edmonton. Don't miss this awesome time filled with fun activities, great friends and food, a sleepover, and discussions about faith! The fun begins at 7 pm on Friday and ends at 4 pm on Saturday afternoon. Cost is $10. We need to email the Synod Office by January 4, 2015 with the names of youth (in grades 7-12) who will be attending. Please email Jen at if you would like her to register you for this event.

Sunday Feb 8th at 12 noon: St. Margaret’s Annual General Meeting.

SAVE the DATE for the Upcoming Evangelism Training Saturdays:
The following workshops are open to anyone, lay or ordained. Registration is through the Synod Office: and participants are asked to bring a bag lunch. Start time is 10 am; workshops run until 3 or 4:00 pm. All workshops will be held at St. Margaret’s.
·   Saturday February 14th: ‘Engaging our Neighbourhoods’: An overview of practical neighbourhood outreach and how it relates to our gospel mission. Leader: The Rev. Nick Trussell
·      Saturday March 14th: ‘The Big Questions’: How to address and explore some of the most common objections to Christian faith. Leader: The Rev. Chris Roth
