Sharing the Gospel . Going for Growth!
Prayer Walk for Peace: On November 11 members of various churches will gather in front of City Hall at 7 PM and begin a candlelight walk from City Hall to the War Memorial with stops at the Gandhi statue and Canada Place. There will be short times of remembrance, reflection and prayer at each stop. You are invited to join others to remember and pray for peace.
The next Seniors Lunch will be on November 12th, 11:30 a.m. at St. Margaret’s Church. We will be having a guest speaker, Fred Rayment, who will be sharing his “War Memories”. Anyone else wishing to share their “war memories” is also welcomed to do so.
All Newcomers to St. Margaret’s! Mark your calendars for Friday November 13! We will have a dessert and coffee fellowship time, give a short history of the parish and share ideas for our community.
Sharing Your Faith without Losing Your Friends: Saturday November 14th (9:30 – 4:30).
We all find the idea of talking about our faith with our friends somewhat intimidating; we don’t know who we should be talking to, we’re worried we might offend people, we’re not sure how to explain the gospel to others, we’re afraid they might ask us questions too tough to answer – these are just a few of our fears! This course will address these and other issues and help us gain confidence that yes, we can share our faith in Christ with our friends without turning them off forever! For more information contact Tim at email@example.com or 780-437-7231. To register, sign up on the appropriate sheet on the table in the foyer.
Sunday November 15th: Stewardship Emphasis: David Connell, Planned Giving Officer of the Diocese of Edmonton, will be our guest preacher on November 15. Following each service he will make a short presentation about Planned Gifts and their benefits to you and the church.
